WHO IS DR. KHOULY?

I am a board-certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. I have served as Associate Director of Periodontology at the Bluestone Center for Clinical Research and as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry. I am currently a part-time Clinical Adjunct Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the NYU College of Dentistry.

My dental practice is exclusively limited to implant dentistry (both surgical & restorative phases) as well as bone and soft tissue grafting procedures around dental implants and teeth. I’ve trained at elite institutions in the United States and Europe including NYU, the University of London (UK), the University of Oslo (Norway), and the University of Granada – UGR (Spain). After earning my DDS and master’s degree in tissue engineering, I completed three years of advanced program training in implant and comprehensive dentistry at NYU under the guidance and expertise of my mentor, Dr. Dennis Tarnow. I went on to earn my PhD in biomedicine from NYU and UGR, graduating summa cum laudeand receiving my International Doctorate Certification. I have extensive experience conducting clinical research in the fields of periodontics and dental implants including bone grafting procedures. I’ve contributed to 50+ articles that have been published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, given numerous invited talks, and have lectured at national and international meetings.

I recently relocated to the Miami area after 11 successful years in academia and private practice in Manhattan, New York, and am eager to apply my knowledge and expertise to improve the lives of those suffering from edentulism, and periodontal (gum), and peri-implant (around implants) diseases.

My dedication to providing unparalleled clinical care, pursuit of my clinical research interests, and faculty appointment(s) at NYU have allowed me to stay abreast the latest advances within the profession. In addition, my education and advanced training have afforded me the opportunity to provide a unique approach to treating patients. I believe providing personalized treatment is the most effective approach to ensure my patients’ needs are met. My treatment philosophy is to implement an individualized treatment approach based on comprehensive evaluations of the oral and maxillofacial complex. I strive to help my patients achieve their dental needs by providing superior clinical skills in implant placements and restorations, bone and soft tissue grafting procedures, periodontal procedures, and cosmetic dentistry.

If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to hearing from you.
